Hi! I'm Albert, a software developer based in Barcelona.
I enjoy building applications for the web. I am passionate about creating great user experiences, with great performance, and that can be accessible for all users.
After graduating from the MSc, I lived for a few years in Copenhagen, and in 2017 I moved back to Catalonia, from where I work remotely for Peakon as Senior Frontend Developer.
Worked at the Knowledge Bank team, part of the Help Center product.
The knowledge bank app was built using cutting edge technologies at the time, and as part of that the team built I was part build the first org React Component library.
The React component library was shared and then later used by teams across the organization. It was built themeable and with accessibility in mind.
Responsible for architecting new frontend applications, and writing major functionality.
Built a new build and deployment chain, which reduced deployment time in a CD environment, with offline builds using yarn.
Changed the application architecture from flux to Redux, which improved developer productivity, reduced code complexity and bugs.
Built reusable and maintanable components using React, for the main Podio web application.
Contributed extensively to keep the app up-to-date with modern technologies, as introducing React v0.14, or Webpack/SystemJS.
Architected, built and maintaned the public marketing website as single embedded developer in marketing team.
Built the website as a custom-made application in Ruby on Rails, with a component-based, fully responsive mobile first approach. It is still the website being served at podio.com.
Relevant courses in software engineering, requirements engineering, mobile app prototyping, artificial intelligence, machine learning and UX/UI Engineering.
MSc Thesis on Data Visualization for Informed Consent at Sensible DTU.
As part of the Mobile App prototyping course, a team of 3 developed an Android app that was used as the official annual commencement event app. The app was context-aware and provided an overview of the different events.
