About me

Hi! I'm Albert, a software developer based in Barcelona.

I enjoy building applications for the web. I am passionate about creating great user experiences, with great performance, and that can be accessible for all users.

I am originally from Tarragona, where I studied a BSc in Telecommunications Engineering at Universitat Rovira i Virgili. I also hold a MSc in Digital Media Engineering by the Technical University of Denmark.

After graduating from the MSc, I lived for a few years in Copenhagen, and in 2017 I moved back to Catalonia, from where I work remotely for Peakon as Senior Frontend Developer.

  • Write modern, performant, maintanable code for all frontend applications: manager dashboard, employee survey, training system.
  • Introduced React and I lead and architected the migration from angular to a modern stack.
  • Built and maintained the css & components libraries, used in many different projects.
  • Architected and engineered many major features across the entire product.
  • Accessibility champion, lead the efforts in the frontend team to achieve WCAG Level AA conformance.

  • Relevant courses in software engineering, requirements engineering, mobile app prototyping, artificial intelligence, machine learning and UX/UI Engineering.
  • MSc Thesis on Data Visualization for Informed Consent at Sensible DTU.
  • As part of the Mobile App prototyping course, a team of 3 developed an Android app that was used as the official annual commencement event app. The app was context-aware and provided an overview of the different events.

  • Relevant courses included: computer networks, mobile (Android) and web application development.
